Bandos Island Resort

Bandos is one of the largest and among the closest resort's to the Airport, in the Maldives. Bandos is a circular island with a great reef almost adjacent to the shoreline. You could reach Bandos from A'port by SPEED Boat within 20 minutes. The island has a relax, informal atmosphere. 

Bandos has quiet a huge range of water sports and land sports available. The land sports complex is the "Paradise Club"; where you will come across a fully-equipped gym with professional instructors (FREE), aerobics, squash, indoor badminton, beach volley, tennis on fllodlits, billiard table, satellite t.v., sauna plus a swimming pool. This club is open daily from 0800 hrs 2200 hrs.

The Water Sports Centre at Bandos ensures that the guests could enjoy the water in any way they want, at any time of the day. It provides you with the equipment or facilities for any watersport - Windsurfing, Catamaran Sailing, Water Skiing, Para-sailing, Banana boat riding, Wake board, Knee board, Fun tubes, Canoeing and some more….

The Water Sports Centre also offers a Catamaran and Windsurfing school of high standard. The school includes equipment such as Hifly, North-Sails and Topcats. The staff are multi-lingual and can speak English, German and Japanese - which is an added advantage for such a multinational resort. Don't you think its good, when you don't need any (NO) sailing experience to join the sailing adventures offered at Bandos.

The heart of the nightlife of Bandos is at the Sand bar, where two of the best Maldivian bands play twice a week and the popular DJ invites the guests to the dance floor to dance away the blues. Or try your voice at Karaoke in the bar.

The Calypso Band performs daily during the evenings at the restaurants and coffee shop as well as the Sand Bar. Ask for your favorite song while you’re enjoying your meal. Listen to Maldivian songs in the Jukebox for a taste of local songs.

If you need sometime for yourself and want to leave your children in capable qualified nannies are on hand to entertain your children in the indoor and outdoor play areas. The Child-Care Centre is situated inside the Sports Complex and is equipped with a nursery full of toys, and a large play area outside.

The Harbour Grill, open daily for dinner between 1900 - 2200hrs, is one of the most popular dining outlets on Bandos. Our guests delight in having a romantic candle lit dinner for two under the stars overlooking the blue lagoon on one side and the harbour on the other.

The Harbour Grill specializes in presenting with the best of Maldivian fish, a large variety of seafood, home-made pasta and a selection of tender steaks char grilled to taste. The silver light of the moon, the music of the Bandos Calypso band and the most delicious food make it a night to remember.

The main restaurant of Bandos, known as the "GALLERY Restaurant"  is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and specializes in catering for guests whose holiday package includes all meals - yet is open to all the guests. Package holidaymakers, however, are not restricted to one restaurant, but are welcome to eat either at the Coffee shop or the Harbour Grill with a discount voucher issued by the restaurant.

Right at the water’s edge is Bandos Sand Bar, open from 0730 hours, until the last satisfied customer leaves. Enjoy the exotic atmosphere barefoot on the sand floor sipping a tropical drink from a wide selection. Every now and then a live band invites you to listen or dance the night away, try Karaoke or dance to the hot rhythms played by Bandos DJ.

When you visit the Paradise Club for a therapeutic massage, tennis, a vigorous workout or a swim in the pool, you can take advantage of the thirst quenching drinks and the light fare menu the Paradise Bar offers.
